Funny Moon Festival - Graz, Austria, August 19/21, 2006

We had to leave Rueguen almost 3 hours after finishing our live set, we had to play on a festival called Funny Moon in Austria on Saturday 19th, so we packed our stuff and head to the station. Getting to Tegel Airport from Rueguen, was the most difficult thing we had to do in this tour. Without sleep or food, we threw ourselves to a train in direction to Berlin, we had to make 2 changes, and we were so tired that we had no energy. The last train we took was full of people, bikes, children, and bags, it was completely crazy, impossible to move around with our huge 3 bags, it was insane and we really had to breathe deeply to manage it. Our total equipment was like this: each of us had one bag of around 25 kilos with clothes and personal shit, and then a small bag of around 5 kilos with the laptop, and then we had one huge bag with the gear which was around 30 kilos. So in total we carried almost 90 kilos of luggage for 3 months in 15 cities and 5 countries. It was insane, like building a pyramid or crossing the ocean only swimming.

But it was ok, we got to Tegel and made the check-in and everything seemed ok. I phoned my mother, as my grandfather was very sick, and I learned that he had died a few hours ago, I tried to send the best vibes to my mom, but it was a hard situation, so tired and beat up, I hang the phone, and an overwhelming feeling came to me, i couldnt stop crying, it was really hard not to be with my family to support them. But well I had already talked with my grandfather before and I had always honored him during his life, he always supported my ideas and I will always be thankful for all his help and love. The king is dead, long live the king :). z1p hugged me and we waited for the airplane to take off while a lady from the airline asked me if it was ok with a very freaky face.

After getting to Vienna Airport in Austria, there was no one to pick us up!!! we got very scared that it would be Italy all over again, but Highko contacted us with Ankur, a Noise Poison and Mass Abduction dj, that really saved us and got us a ride after we were able to contact Horizon, the organizer for the festival. When we finally reached the location, we couldnt believe it, it was incredible!!!, the vibes were so good and high that we forgot about everything that had happened before, once again we were with psychedelic people, in the nature, we were in the right place!!!. The people were great in this festival, for me it was really the best, so many nice freaks, incredible decoration by a mexican painter and a very nice line up that included Chromatone, Hydraglyph, Shawnodese and Pmac. We played on this night and we had a crazy response to our music, the people were really dancing a a lot of artists and djs approached to tell us that they liked our music, the feeling of this festival was really awesome, such nice vibes, we didnt care about being tired or any of the bad things that had happened before.

We were tired, so after playing we went to chill out, I spent a lot of time speaking with Ankur and Johanna, very nice people!!! also we met the Groove Criminal Records guys, a deco artists from germany called Marc and also the djane Madame Chaos, who had played before us during that night. A very nice group of people, i felt very confortable with them, so different vibes from Italy and Germany. We also spent some time with Ada from Venezuela, a very good dj that endured the challenge of carrying her baby (Yllia) all around Europe. The rest of the festival continued in a very chaotic way and there were a lot of problems with the line up, but the good vibes kept going and we really enjoyed it. The music was very nice all the time, no commercial things at all, and a very good selection of djs and live acts, too bad that the organization was a little bit messed up, otherwise it would have been an incredible festival, the location was very nice, the sound was good, the deco was crazy and the people had the best vibes, full of freaks.

We stayed around 4 days in the location after the party ended, it was a little bit boring at first but then we got to know all the austria crew very well, Timmy, Andy, the polish family from the Chaishop, and a lot of freaks that just stayed there. It was a group of all kinds of hippies, and we stayed with them eating, talking, juggling and chilling. Horizon was all the time working like crazy to fix the end of the festival, but he had a lot of bad luck and he was really loosing his mind, a big hug to him, he was really trying to make everything work but it wasnt very easy. For me this time was great, we were there in the mountains, completely disconnected, no internet, no phone ringing, no worries at all, i spent a lot of time thinking about life and psychedelic trance, got very good ideas for concepts for albums and parties. We finally came down on the 24th of August, and we spent the night in Horizon's house and the other day we woke up to head for Winterberg, a city in mid Germany where we had to play on Saturday 26th of August.

Psychedelic Destination - Isle of Rueguen, Germany, August 18th

We arrived on the 16th of August to Tegel Airport in Berlin, and Hannes was there waiting for us. He was the organizer for Psychedelic Destination, our gig in the north of Germany, in an island called Rueguen, very beautiful place, like a summer vacation place for germans next to the North Sea.

The party location was a very freaky building, which was owned by Hitler and now it had been turned into a disco and restaurant. It was a really creepy place owned by a huge german called Peter, next to the forest and the sea. It was very scary at night, huge building, no light outside, and the forest and our imagination helped us to freak out completely. We stayed until the party in this location, and we also checked Binz, a city near the disco, where we met a nice young german who had been to Voov Experience in Leipzig.

On the day of the party we met Sasha, a producer living in Rueguen, making dark sounds, this was the first real psychedelic people we met in this city, and it was great to hang out with them before the party, staying in the creepy place was no fun heheh :).

The party was good, around 200 people came, the sound system was not bad at all, the deco was very nice, specially the string art done by Hannes. We played as Megalopsy, and z1p did a dj as Frantic Noise and I played a dj set. The rest of the line up was more commercial music, so we really didnt check it out, we stayed around the club and went to sleep as we had to travel the next day to Austria for Funny Moon. It was a good adventure, but once again, we met the right people in the end of it, so it was a pity, as we could have enjoyed it more. Anyways it was fun to be there, it was a strange situation when we were there, but we had some good laughs and bizarre anecdotes with Hannes and Peter.

Summer Celebration - Ferrara, Italy, August 12-16, 2006

We were booked for what seemed a big festival in Italy called Summer Celebration, near a city called Ferrara, near the Adriatic Sea. In the line up there were artists like Kindzadza, Infected Mushroom and Perplex. It was difficult to get to Ferrara from Milano, but we finally made it, but we had no sleep or any food at all. After arriving to the train station, we had something to eat and after a couple of hours Marco, the organizer came to pick us up . We slept in a hotel room for that day and then head to the festival. The location was a block of concrete in the middle of the city, but the infrastructure seemed nice, there were shops, food and a nice dancefloor.

We played on the first night, they were expecting around 1000 people, but less than half showed up. The deco was nice, but the soundsystem was very bad, it really didnt make sense. Everything was cool after the night we played, we rested and then suddenly everything changed. We had to fight even to get food and drinks, these Italians organizers did not care about us at all, so it was a really sad situation, specially after going to a party like Boom, basically they were already loosing money and they knew their festival was shit but were too stubborn to admit it to themselves. They did not care about the people at all!, very commercial party with no sense of culture at all, bad sound, bad line up, very bad vibes. Unfortunately our flight was booked for 3 days after we played, so we had to stay in that place far more than what we wanted and see this thing fall into pieces, no people coming, everything covered in garbage and absolutely nothing to do during the day.

But well in the end we survived and kept the good vibes, no matter how shitty the organizers were, we met Naveen, a dj from Slovenia and also we made some basque friends that had travelled from Spain, very nice people, they really saved us with just a smile and talking. We finally convinced someone from the organization to take us to the train station and we got the fuck out of the festival. We arrived to Milano and took a plane to Berlin for our next gig on the Isle of Rueguen in the north of Germany.

As you can see we didnt even took one picture in the party!!! it didnt really make sense hahah :D.
