Unreal Party, San Luis December 2nd

This was really a great city to visit, San Luis is completely different to the rest of Mexico, its looks more like an european colony, and its full of students, so this was the first time we actually saw more freaky people in a good way. Its crazy but there are not much hippie/psychedelic people in Mexico, or at least they dont show it so much in the way they wear, for now its still more composed of young kids who seem to enjoy the music a lot, but not the culture. I really hope that the psychedelic culture starts to appear again in this country, after all they have a very big and important shamanic tradition and they even have natural psychedelic plants growing in their country!!!.

The crew of San Luis was great, Unreal, Munheko, Yellow. We stayed at Yellows house, he treated us very good, we felt welcome instantly. We met some of the local artists that were going to play and we hanged out until the party came. The location was very nice, in the middle of the dessert full of crazy cactus (cactii is the plural? i have no idea). There was a full moon, so everything was glowing, perfect place for a party. At night it got very cold, I remember putting on all the clothes I had here. We played live and I also played a dj set, i really enjoyed playing twisted stuff in the morning. It was a very nice party, the people were more freaky and the place was just great, when the sun came up, we were amazed with the vegetation, it looked like another planet.

I ended up staying one week more here in San Luis, I met Magdaleno, who is a member of the native people of San Luis called Huicholes, they are part of the tradition of the peyoteros who go each year to Wirikuta. He was a very good natured guy, very quite, with deep eyes and the best vibes possible, the most humble person i ever met in my life. He made traditional handcrafted jewelry and sculptures, very beautiful stuff. We went together to the dessert for a small and simple ritual, it was very nice, we spent one night sleeping in the dessert with no tent, it was really an amazing experience.

I felt sad when i left San Luis, i really wished i could had stayed longer, but duty always calls when you are a psychedelic warrior, movement seems to be an essential part. Big hug to everyone in san luis, thanks so much for having us there!!!.
